Dr David Kelly was found dead on Harrowdown Hill four years ago. This is made prominent by the recent “abdication” of Mr Anthony Blair, and the publication of the diaries of his aide, Mr Alastair Campbell, seemingly transcribed and selected by the author himself. The death is spoken of as ‘suicide’ by almost all servants of the fourth estate. That the inquest was adjourned and never completed is not a cause for any wavering. The verdict has been assumed and so it stands.

There are many instances of this slide towards the whisper and the nods of ignorant agreement. The night after 52 persons met their deaths by bombing in London two years ago, Anthony Blair declared at the G8 summit that “a public inquiry would be ludicrous”. Really? There has been no judicial response to these four atrocities, and yet it is widely accepted, including by “civil rights” spokespeople, that “radicalised” Muslims were the culprits.

The ruins of Jericho

Situated in the desert of Judah, near an oasis some 656 feet below sea level, Jericho grew up around a powerful spring. In the seventh millennium the small Neolithic village developed into a thriving city. The flimsy huts were replaced by round houses build of mud bricks, on stone foundations with floors well below the level of the ground outside. The spectacular fortifications were built later: a stone wall five feet thick reaching a height of over sixteen feet was built within a deep trench.

The imposing circular stone tower found within the fortifications still stands some twenty-six feet high. The inner staircase of twenty-eight wide stone slabs leads to the top. At the bottom of the steps a passage leads to a door at the eastern side of the tower.…

The Temple of Hathor

Very intriguing wall carvings were found in an underground chamber of the Late Ptolemaic Temple of Hathor at Dendera, Egypt. They depict priests holding in their hands devices that look like big electric “lamps held by high-tension insulators”. A light bulbs or cathode ray tubes? The ancient Egyptians may have used an artificial source of light. No trace of soot from torches, oil lamps can be found on the walls and ceilings of the tombs. What are these oblong tubes?
