In 1896, workers excavating a dry dock in Buenos Aires found a skull, at the level of 11 meters (36 feet) below the bed of the river La Plata, after breaking through a layer of limestonelike substance, in a Pre-Ensenadan stratum. The deposit is dated one to one and a half million years old. There are two problems with the discovery if we follow the conventional view: anatomically modern humans did not exist a million years ago and there were no humans in the Americas before about 20,000 years ago.
